I would recommend you see a physiotherapist specializing in women’s health, before or during the TW program, at least once. They are able to do a hands-on diagnosis and internal exam to assess the health of your pelvic floor before.
There are several differences between seeing your physiotherapist regularly versus joining a holistic program to heal your diastasis recti, however. It can be difficult to find a physiotherapist who specializes in diastasis recti, and when you do, you’ll likely end up on a waitlist.
Visiting a physiotherapist means regular appointments over months. That travel time will add up. By contrast, the Tummy Warrior program is completely online so fits into your schedule easily while protecting your busy mom time.
Unlike a physiotherapist, the Tummy warrior community is there to support you when you’re looking for somewhere to turn. If you have any questions about your exercises, your coach and myself are there to help — and not just during business hours or at scheduled appointments.
A physiotherapist focuses on rehabilitating your core, whereas I approach your core and total body holistically so you are going to heal your diastasis recti, get fit overall and lose weight with FUN and engaging exercises.
In addition, you’ll receive diastasis recti-specific nutrition guidance and meal plans to nourish your body and repair your connective tissue from the inside.
I also have a team of women's health physiotherapists in my network and am able to ask your specific questions to them.
